Passionate about building intuitive, meaningful experiences that make an impact.

Hi, I’m Aditya Kharial, currently pursuing my Master’s in Strategic Design & Management at Parsons School of Design, The New School in NYC. Before returning to school, I worked as a User Experience Design Consultant at IBM iX in Bangalore, India.

I’m passionate about Product Design, User Research, and designing for accessibility, with a strong interest in Financial Design. I love diving deep into research and crafting creative design solutions, often incorporating game design principles to make research more engaging and insightful. I’m skilled at developing scenarios, personas, and storyboards to bring concepts to life.

When I’m not brainstorming on MIRO, you’ll likely find me playing tennis or chess with friends. I enjoy balancing desk time with some physical activity.

Things I did apart from my work

Ixponential Core Team Responsibilities

At IBM, I took on a key role as part of the iXponential Core Team. My responsibilities included:

• Calendar Maintenance: Keeping our Trello board updated to ensure everyone stayed informed about upcoming sessions.

• Session Reminders: Sending timely reminders to participants before each session.

• Outreach: Proactively reaching out to iXers to encourage participation and gather new topics for presentations.
Through collaboration and alignment on tasks, our core team helped iXponential thrive by ensuring engagement and timely execution of activities.
Design Workshops

I’ve led and co-facilitated 40+ Design Thinking Workshops aimed at new hires, with an average of 90 participants per session. These workshops were an opportunity to guide participants through creative processes, focusing on human-centered design.

BMW Workshop: We conducted in-depth research for BMW, analyzing well-defined problem statements and leading activities that transformed insights into actionable ideas.

Workshop for Nepal Kids: As part of the "Code the Future" boot camp in Nepal, I helped teach 36 young students how to design and build websites. The success of this initiative, in collaboration with Engage Nepal with Science, led to ongoing plans to expand this effort to other regions like Africa.
Ask Me Anything (Panelist)

As a Panelist for IBM’s "Ask Me Anything" sessions, I’ve shared my experiences and answered questions from graduate hires who had completed one year with the company. I take great pride in helping guide them through their design journeys by sharing insights on workshops, projects, and career growth. I’ve participated in over 10 sessions and look forward to engaging in many more.

Service Design: Optimizing those service touch points, making sure every interaction is a smooth ride and not a rollercoaster.

Design Thinking: Leading workshops that turn chaos into creative magic, all while keeping it fun!

Collaboration: Teamwork makes the dream work and I’m the person making sure we’re all rowing in the same direction (with a little humor to keep things light).
