Heineken

Our objective was to move beyond the limitations of the conventional finance reporting suite. So we created a system that caters to the distinct needs of various finance data consumers at Heineken. To further enhance the accessibility of our finance data, we also worked on developing a mobile feature that goes beyond the confines of desktop-based access.

Problems?

We recognized that our current reporting system is hindering our ability to make important business decisions. It was complex and lack clarity.

Our research revealed that different user types require tailored reporting solutions to meet their unique needs. It lacks mobile capabilities, further limiting accessibility for our team.

There were also challenges in terms of comprehensibility, making it hard for the team to understand and navigate. Additionally, the current reports fail to promote a transparent work environment for all team members.

01

We created a design system that enforces consistency across all reports, ensuring a cohesive and seamless user experience.

Keeping in mind the different user needs, we developed a customized view that consolidates relevant actionable information. We also provided comprehensive assistance and easy-to-use exit points for users to easily navigate through the relevant reports.

Identifying
Problem Areas

We categorized the data according to the different themes they fall under. Through this, we were able to identify the major problem areas. Then we created the “How Might We” statements which help make these problem areas more actionable and ready for the Ideation workshop.

01 Unique Needs

02 Key Drivers

03 Usability on Phone

04 Easy & Efficient

Idea!tion Workshop

The main goal of this ideation workshop was to spark innovation and generate ideas. It is a safe space that allowed our team to openly discuss and share ideas without any judgment.

Prioritization Workshop

My favorite part of the process, we brainstormed and specified how those ideas are addressing our design requirements outlined through research findings. Then we created a mural board where we wrote all the ideas and did a Prioritization workshop. In this workshop, we asked the business to vote on the ideas they think are the best.

After prioritizing ideas and understanding the requirements, we selected key features to guide the future report design. This stage ensures that the designs are user-focused and decisions are made based on real user needs.
